This could be great if it allowed you to place the pictures where ever you want them. For some reason it automatically sets the layers for you. No matter how many times it try to reposition them they just revert back in the centre. Waste of $.99 and even worse it was a waste of 25 minutes. I hope I can find a decent cropping / blending app out there becuase this was a major disappointment. Im using ipad2 with the latest iOS update btw

I have seriously had this app for forever and its always been flawless and has great results. However the new update has not done it good. Its either the update or the iOS 8 thats not allowing me to choose more than 1 photo. When going to photo gallery to choose the 2nd photo it crashes. Loved this app but now Im looking for alternative apps. Please fix! I used to love this app! Please help!

The app works well, and althought there is helpful guidance at start-up and any time via the "i" button, the workflow is intuitive if you have experience with layer and blend modes, ala Photoshop. If not, some of the modes can be a bit overwhelming. I really like the layer approach, and each layer can be selected and the image independently scaled, moved/repositioned,freely rotated, etc. Layers can be moved up or down in the stack (this is important and can be daunting when using blend modes), deleted, or replaced by a new image. That being said, a few improvements would be welcomed additions... 1. A "clear all", "new" or "start over" button, to, well, start a new project. 2. Ability to unlock the aspect ratio of a layer so it can be resized without maintaining the original aspect ratio. 3. An expand or fit to frame/opening button would be helpful. 4. Improve the resolution a bit. The maximum size of a saved project seems to be 2048x2048. If you change to 4:3 the resolution changes to 2048x1536. Since the app has a fixed base layer (default black or other color), it would be helpful if the resolution could be set higher via that layer, then all image layers would be scaled up/down accordingly.

The layers work well, but the zoom is terrible. Youre essentially enlarging the layer, not getting close to the whole project which is what Id expect to refine small details (erase edges, etc). The two finger pinch doesnt always work to zoom and you can end up erasing part of the layer. Undo doesnt go one step back, it takes you back to the beginning of mask session which is frustrating. If youre looking to make simple masks and blend multiple layers this app works, but not for complex masking. Hopefully developer will fix the zoom and mask edit to improve this app with potential.

This is a great app. Takes a little practice to get it right, but the results are well worth the price.

Overall this app is a great start but is missing some key features. I need to be able to control the size of the brush. And shout have a plus minus option for zooming THAT ENLARGES ALL LAYERS not just the selected one. This app is worth .99$ or even 1.99$ MOJOR PROBLEM: RESALUTION OF OUTPUT PHOTOS SHOU BE LIMITED TO AT LEAST 10 mp

I love the app Diptic, so when this came out I bought it right away! So far, I love it! It makes working with layers and blending modes fun and easy! Everything is more complicated in Photoshop, so it is hard to learn about the different blending modes when you cant even figure out the program. Not so with this app, which is as simple as can be, but also incredibly powerful. Do yourself a favor and download this app now!

A little rough around the edges but the core function is solid. I dont need to do much in the way of mobile photo editing but this gets the job done. If you need later editing for your phone photos this is the app to get.

this is by far the best layover/superimpose app Ive ever used! It deserves no less than 5 stars! AMAZING!

This is my favorite app! So easy to make interesting collages from my photos. The one thing I would wish for is the ability to make sharper edged masks - instead of the soft blending edges. That would make the app perfect! Thanks.

I love photoshop, so I was extremely happy with this app. It would be nice if you could change the size of the Mask brush. Need to still figure out the crop button, but I just downloaded it and does a great job of doing what it says it does. Worth the money!

It takes a while to get the hang of but once you know how to use it you can do amazing things. There are a few minor errors but I just love this app.

Overall, after 15 minutes of playing with this app, I know it wont suit my needs. Sometimes when editing, your touch wont do anything. Also, what you see when editing will not be your final result. Unhappy with this purchase- do not recommend.

As far as flexibility, easy workflow and awesome results, lay0ver is the best. Recommend

Really bad doesnt allow u to download finish product... A tease lets u see how it might look but then nothing doesnt allow u to save or share

I was very disappointed with this app. The quality of the blended image isnt very good and is certainly not like Photoshop in any way. Also, it takes a while to figure out how to navigate the dang thing.

1. UI is ugly and looks old 2. Using it to layer a watermark is dang near impossible. Layers cannot be resized to be small. You are limited in resizing. 3. You dont get your full image. Just a tiny middle portion. 4. Blending modes arent clear. Hard to figure which layer is blending where and I have years of laying experience with photoshop.

Please fix the rotation bug, it fails a lot when I try to rotate an image on the canvas. It zooms the pic instead of rotating. This app is by far one of the best to make big compositions on photos. I love it, just fix that little bug.

I keep trying to use and like Layover more. Its close to being a great app. I dont like that you cant pull your images back into lineup. I had a few really interesting images made only to discover one of the layers had slipped out of alignment and left a line which ruined it all. Until they make some improvements its off my list. Ill keep it in case they do a big update.
